What is a Stroke?
A stroke is when there is a sudden loss of brain function caused by either an interruption of blood flow to the brain(ischemic stroke) or a rupture of blood vessels in the brain(hemorrhagic stroke). When either of these two occur, the brain cells in that affected area die, causing your body not to function properly.
The effects caused by a stroke are different from person to person and depend on where the damaged occurred in the brain and how much damage was caused. It can affect many areas of your bodily functions such as movement, talking, memory, speaking and can affect your ability to reason and make decisions.
